Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Breakers Café Bar & Grill (“we”) collects when you visit breakersencinitas.com, how we use it, who receives it, and the choices you have. It covers this website only.

What we collect

Forms. The private-events and contact forms collect your name, email address, phone number, event details and message. The ‘Ohana Club signup collects the contact details you give us so we can send you news and offers. The review page collects a name, a way to reach you and your comments. We use this information to answer you, plan your event, and run the club you joined.

Technical information. Our hosting provider records the IP address, browser type and pages requested for each visit in server logs used for security and to keep the site running. These logs are not used to build profiles of visitors.

Cookies, analytics and embedded content

Nothing that could identify you is sent to any advertising or analytics company unless you choose “Accept” in the cookie banner. If you decline, or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, the tools below do not load. You can change your choice at any time using Your Privacy Choices in the footer.

• Vercel Web Analytics (always on) counts page views without cookies and without storing any identifier on your device. It tells us how many people visited and which pages they looked at, not who they are.
• Google Analytics (only if enabled, and only after you accept) would receive the address and title of each page you view, your browser and device type, and a truncated IP address, with Google signals and ad personalization turned off.
• Google Maps (after you accept, or when you click “Show map”) loads the embedded map from Google and sets Google cookies. Until then the same space shows our address and a link to Google Maps.

The cookie that remembers your choice (sb_consent) is set by this site only and expires after one year. We do not use advertising pixels, session-recording tools, or any form of cross-site tracking.

Who receives information

• Vercel hosts the website, keeps the server logs and provides the cookieless analytics.
• Resend delivers form submissions to our inbox by email.
• Google provides the embedded map, and analytics if enabled, only after you accept cookies.

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may disclose information when the law requires it or to protect our rights, our guests or the public.

Your California privacy rights

We are a single restaurant, and the California Consumer Privacy Act may not apply to us. We honor its rights anyway. You may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, unsubscribe from the ‘Ohana Club at any time, and opt out of any sale or sharing (we do none). We treat a Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out. To make a request, email events.breakers@gmail.com or call (760) 704-8215. We will respond within 45 days and never treat you differently for exercising these rights.

Retention and security

Form submissions are kept as long as we need them to serve you. Club membership details are kept until you unsubscribe. The website itself stores nothing about you beyond the consent cookie. The site is served over HTTPS and access to our email is limited to people who need it.

Children

The website is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
