This is Benji Weatherley's mom's house—the one from Haleiwa's North Shore where surfers crashed on floors, locals mixed with travelers, and everyone left as hanai (chosen family). We brought those same walls, that same spirit, to Encinitas.

Casual, connective, and real. Come as you are, stay as long as you want.

The Story

Growing up, Benji's mom Barbara kept an open-door policy at their North Shore home. Didn't matter where you were from—you were safe, fed, and welcomed.

We built Breakers to feel exactly like that house. The backyard for kids to roam. The hideout for adults to unwind. Every table, every piece has a story. This isn't just a restaurant—it's the continuation of a home that's been bringing people together for decades.
